This route is a walk along the cliffs around the fishing village of Howth which is very close to Dublin. To get there we took the suburban train from Dublin (DART) from Connolly station. As after Howth we wanted to go to Malahide we took out the full day ticket which is about € 11.
Once there, from the right end of the port, the path that ascends towards the cliffs that surround the town, in good weather the views are magnificent, and then it returns to the port through the high streets of the town.
Other tourist attractions in Howth are the seals that flock to the fishing port to see what falls off the fishing boats.
Around the port there are many places to eat, lobster (about € 28), crab etc. or a strong fish & chips for about € 10.
