Itinerary description
It was a full moon and a perfect night to hike and watch the sunrise; and usually the best place is up in the mountains. In this case, it was the highest mountain in Lebanon (3088 meters). The hike started around 2:30 AM from the Oyoun Orghosh gate (280 meters ASL); the trail followed a dirt road used by off-road vehicles and ATVs to reach the summit. The plan was also to visit the other three summits that are above 3000 meters but because of bus delays which delayed the start of the hike, the three summits were skipped.
The weather was wonderful at the beginning of the trail but as we get closer to the peak, the wind picked up and the temperature dropped down less than 10 degrees Celsius. During the trail we came across patches of snow (remnants of the north face effect). The sky was clear with a full clear moon that lit the trail all the way until sunrise.
The trail was long and sometimes had a rocky path. I rate it as difficult.

Found an Injurd Hawk Here
I stumbled on a majestic hawk with a broken wing. Lucky for him, for I took a shortcut and he was there. His luck is doubled when we had a vet in the group; the vet took him for treatment to be released into the wild after recuperation.
