Itinerary description

An easy-going and dramatic hike which takes you close to the impressive north face of Shkara, the highest mountain of Georgia. The rolling grassland of the wide valley which is covered by this hike has a distinctly Central-Asian vibe to it (picture). More often than not, little brooks flow over the path, so be ready to take of your shoes at all times and bring some protective woodwear for these crossings; the sharp pebbles are a menace to your feet!Make sure to notice the strangely red-coloured boulders lying in the riverbed close to the end of the walk.
