Itinerary description
A great loop but with some provisos. The path from valley floor to the final ridge goes very directly up! The path in the forest is cleared and marked with cairns but is not that easy to find and is steep, with some short section of scrambling up tree roots. Then you get onto several big scree slopes with no path and red trail markings that are not that easy to see. The ridge to the summit is lovely, the descent mostly follows a rather better path high up and the main trail low down. But high up on the descent is a 5m rock wall which we dowm-climbed with care but if you don't have rock climbing experience, you are likely to want a rope to abseil.
