Itinerary description
From the car park at Blaenau, northwards on a good track to Llyn y Fan Fach and then up the ridge on the southern and eastern sides of the lake, to the minor summit of Waun Lefrith. From here, eastwards along the edge of the cliffs above the lake, to Bannau Sir Gaer (749m) and then descending and reascending to Fan Brycheiniog (802m). The route then continues around the cliff edge back to the bwlch between the two main summits, before descending on a steep path to the Afon Sychlwch and then back to the track and car park.
