Descrição do itinerário

Anderson to Kilcunda return.
I parked at the small carpark at the end of Punchbowl Rd.
My Wikiloc shows a distance longer than some others. I think this might be because I walked a bit longer towards Kilcunda to get a coffee!
This walk was a bit more challenging than I expected. There were a lot of rolling hills. You'll experience a range of different surfaces; gravel, grass, sand.
The views are spectacular. You may even spot a whale during the migration in winter.
I stopped at Kilcunda for an amazing soy latte at the general store/post office/cafe which has a great view of the ocean.
Check tide times before you go as there is a small part where you'll walk along the beach.

Post hike coffee is the best. Do you recommend the hike?

Thanks for asking! 🙏🏻. The hike is beautiful. Stunning coastline. There were certainly more ups and downs than I expected, esp from the start at Punchbowl.

So i did this twice in the space of three days lol. Friend insisted I take him after he saw the pics I took. Did it at low tide, starting at 5pm for the sun setting light. Was brilliant. I recommend connecting the beaches at low tide- it means you can avoid walking through that deep annoying sandy section.

Twice in three days! That’s fantastic. The great thing is that no matter how many times you do the same hike, you see different things or the light is different. Thanks for your comment!
